Summary
With regard to the story about students forced out of education over childcare costs; am I alone in my difficulty to find sympathy for these people? This is 2009 and having children is a choice, so my message to the poor students is, don't have children if you cannot afford to.
There are many things in life I would like but am unable to afford them however I certainly do not expect others to pay for me. Therefore why do these students (or indeed non students!) expect me to have to pay towards childcare for their offspring? Children are people, not commodities like TVs or cars - a little thought before having babies would solve many of our present problems.See the full content of this document
