Actor Charley Boorman is best known for his round-theworld motorcycle adventures with Ewan McGregor in the TV series The Long Way Round and A Long Way Down. In his latest BBC2 show, By Any Means, he went from Ireland to Sydney and then on to Tokyo by any means of transport he could find, including wooden scooter, canoe, paraglider and his favourite mode of transport, the motorcycle.
Australia is the most beautiful and incredible country. I first visited it many years ago after meeting my future wife. She had already planned a trip Down Under so I decided to follow her and we had a great six months.
