W. M. J. writes: Like the 85-year-old reader whose letter you published, I gave Pounds 10,000 to James Maynard of Regional Land for a plot in Dover.
Regional Land then offered other plots, but my solicitor first said I was interested only in Dover, and then, when no deed or transfer arrived for that land, he asked for the return of my money. Since then Regional Land has suggested it can sell the Dover plot at a profit, even though I don't legally own it, and I should then 'upgrade' to land elsewhere.
