- And I have just finished the longest working day of my life, a record 23 hours. After waking up in Ulan Bator, I am now in Siberia. The alarm went at 5am, just enough time for some curried noodles for breakfast before jumping into a Russian jeep with over-sized wheels. And it is soon obvious why they are so big. The road through the bright green plains is punctuated with potholes the size of a normal car.
