GOVERNMENT schemes to cut teenage pregnancies are likely to have sparked a dramatic increase in sexually transmitted diseases, according to a shocking report to be released tomorrow.

The yearlong study of Britain's health authorities found that those which expanded family planning services for young people including giving out the morning-after pill free in schools saw soaring rates of infection but no reduction in pregnancies.
