THE Labour MP who claimed Pounds 310,000 in expenses on a 'second home' is to be investigated by the Commons sleaze watchdog after an allegation that he committed a criminal offence.

Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards John Lyon acted in response to a complaint by a member of the public, who said Left- winger Harry Cohen may have broken the anti-fraud law on 'obtaining money by false representation' - which carries a maximum sentence of a year in jail.
