THE Natural History Museum, closed since 2007 after a staircase collapsed and injured 11 visitors, will re-open in September.

It had been thought the museum, situated beside Leinster House, might become the new home of the Seanad because the upper chamber's crumbling building has become a health risk for those working there, but that will not now happen.
