My Home Is My Boardroom

Lancashire-based mother-of-four Helen Vanroose signed up with Vie at Home as a party-plan consultant as a bit of fun, selling cosmetics, jewellery and homewares. However, the work turned out to be a financial and emotional lifesaver through divorce, single parenthood and finding new love.

I joined Vie at Home in 2001 after a friend invited me to a party at her home. I really enjoyed the evening and someone suggested I consider becoming a consultant part time. I was reluctant at first, but when I started earning money - up to Pounds 100 a week - I was hooked.
