THE rail boss at the centre of a row over claims of sex and race abuse of staff has been named in the Commons as Peter Bennett, head of human resources at Network Rail, which runs Britain's railways.

Mr Bennett was identified after The Mail on Sunday disclosed last week that more than 100 staff of the publicly funded firm are said to have received payoffs of up to Pounds 850,000 after signing confidentiality clauses that prevent them from speaking publicly about why they have left the company.
