HOME care for the elderly and disabled should be a priority for the new Government, potentially saving it billions of pounds, according to one leading provider that has launched a franchise model to cater for the booming market.

The market for providing care, such as helping people get dressed, washed and fed, is worth more than Pounds 12 billion a year, but it is expected to treble over the next 20 years with 66 per cent of the population forecast to need home care by 2038.
