Simon and Garfunkel Hyde Park, London They don't have charisma. Their sex appeal, always quirky, has slipped away. One wears a waistcoat, the other a chain-store T-shirt. They don't pose or preen or prowl. They are two sixtysomethings who can barely stand each other's company.

Their hairstyles are hopeless: a bowl of spaghetti and a torn yarmulke. But give Simon and Garfunkel a park and they will produce a night to remember. To the famous Central Park concert of 1981 can now be added the famous Hyde Park concert of 2004.
