After a film career that started when she was a mere 13-year- old, Mariel 'gave it all up' and decided to concentrate on raising her family. 'And do you know,' she says, padding into the living room of their home, which is filled with Buddhas and statues of Hindu gods, 'even though I would have perhaps liked a bigger career, I don't regret what I did for a second.
