Summary


ALL passengers on domestic and European flights will be forced to give the police and customs personal data - including mobile phone and credit-card numbers - under Government plans.

The proposal is contained in draft EU anti-terror plans but Britain is the only country to want to extend it for 'general public policy purposes'. Britain also wants to include domestic and European sea and rail travel in the Passenger Name Record Scheme.
