There is a mild irony in the fact that when we could afford convertibles, we had miserable summers, with so much rain that lowering the roof even for a day was an impossibility. This year, the sun has been a more frequent visitor but the money has disappeared. Maybe some day, we finally will get that balance just right.
If you actually are planning on buying a convertible, the cheapest option is to buy a diesel.
