MONAGHAN and Mayo are safely through to the semifinals of the 2009 TG4 AllIreland Ladies senior football championship, following Saturday's quarter-final double-header at Ballymahon, Longford.
Monaghan booked their place in the last four with just a single point to spare against Connacht champions Galway, who missed a lastminute penalty which would surely have won the game if converted by Niamh Duggan .
