PADRAIG Harrington was so keen to find his form in time for the Ryder Cup that he spent four hours on the practice range and finished up injuring his right shoulder.

The Irishman, Europe's leading player in the rankings at No 8 in the world, underwent 45 minutes of treatment yesterday morning before starting the third round of the Linde German Masters. He promptly shot an eight-under-par 64 to move up to second place.
