THE ringleaders behind a bogus data protection firm exposed in Financial Mail have been jailed at Liverpool Crown Court after a successful investigation by Merseyside Police fraud squad, trading standards officials and the Information Commissioner's Office.

Michael Boyd, Paul Barton and Mark Deary pleaded guilty to conspiracy to obtain Pounds 206,000 by deception.
