LABOUR in Scotland yesterday fired the election gun for the Holyrood elections - despite the poll being 12 months away.
The party, buoyed by its strong General Election showing in Scotland, formed a special committee to draw up a strategy to win back control of the Scottish parliament from the SNP. On Thursday, Labour won 41 out of 50 Scottish Westminster seats and increased its vote substantially in several key constituencies.
