A HOW unkind. Places such as Abersoch and the Lleyn Peninsula in North Wales are awash with the smart set snapping up places lavishly done up for the holiday market. Have a look, for example, at Borth Cottage (www.simonescapes.com). It sleeps 12 and comes with a helipad, hot tub, sauna and mini-cinema. It's not cheap: a week's hire costs from Pounds 4,500 to Pounds 6,000. Midweek and weekend rates are available in low season from Pounds 2,000 for three nights.
