AS PART of the association's 125 celebrations, a regular feature of The Sunday Game this summer sees well known figures pick out one day that stands apart in their treasure of GAA memories.

For Joe Kernan, the choice was simple: September 22, 2002. Big Joe is not a man given to doleful sentiment or easy regret but the man who guided Armagh to its sole senior All-Ireland seven years ago was clear about one thing: 'While it was great to be the first, there should have been a second and a third. We have to look at ourselves, both management and players and say, "We missed the boat".'
