ST HELENS head coach Royce Simmons paid tribute to Tom Armstrong after he answered a late call with a hat-trick in their 34-16 victory over Harlequins at the Twickenham Stoop.
Simmons said: 'Tom was grabbed out of the shower late, came in and did great. We won with an all-English side, which was encouraging.' His disappointed opposite number, Rob Powell, said: 'We were confident at half-time but became jittery and played too close to our own line.'
