FIRST Minister Jack McConnell is in talks for Scotland to host the 2007 FIFA Club World Football Championship, it was reported last night.
He is said to have spoken to FIFA boss Sepp Blatter, who commented: 'FIFA are delighted about this idea, considering the long tradition of our game and the excellent football infrastructure in Scotland.'
