THE Seanad Committee on Members' Interests has decided not to investigate Ivor Callely's use of forged mobile phone invoices to claim EUR 3,000 from taxpayers, the Irish Mail on Sunday can reveal.
Instead, the files were handed over to the Standards in Public Office Commission (SIPO) this week, making it the first formal case involving the alleged misuse of Oireachtas expenses that the political watchdog will investigate since it was established in 2001.See the full content of this document
