More than E2bn in State infrastructure projects have been abandoned, according to documents that seen by the Irish Mail on Sunday. Amid evidence that the Exchequer tax take is sinking by the day, proposed infrastructure cutbacks have jumped from E1bn to E2bn in less than three weeks.
Projects to build secondary roads and bypasses will suffer most. The Department of Transport has been ordered to cancel E725m worth of roads projects.See the full content of this document
