THESPIANS at the Edinburgh Festival next month will be left fuming by the Scottish Executive's smoking ban.
While the English ban, which comes into force today, still allows actors to smoke in plays when it is 'integral to the plot or storyline', Scotland remains rigidly illiberal about lighting up on stage.
