PRINCE CHARLES was criticised by Parachute Regiment veterans last night after snubbing this weekend's 65th anniversary events marking the Battle of Arnhem.

As Colonel-in-Chief, Charles was invited to join the dwindling band of 100 former Paras, many in their 80s and 90s, who travelled to Holland in wheelchairs and on crutches to remember the 1,500 comrades who died in the Dutch city in 1944.
