THE problem with most guide books is they provide too much information: pages of history (`in 1413 Philip the Anxious and his army swept through Upper Ambrosia, plunging the region into the so- called Anti-Macassar wars',etc,etc) and reviews of hotels and restaurants you are never likely to visit.
Dorling Kindersley (or DK as they now seem to style themselves) has produced a Top 10 series which concentrates on the really useful stuff, with Top 10: Andalucia Costa Del Sol by Jeffrey Kennedy covering a wide region in an admirably succinct fashion.See the full content of this document
