SIGNS of divine intervention gave MSPs cause to wonder as they began to debate the Gender Recognition Bill in the Scottish parliament. Just at the moment when the first speaker addressed the thorny topic of allowing sex-change couples to marry, the heavens split asunder and the parliament chamber was silenced by peals of thunder and flashes of lightning.
The moment was not lost on Labour's Hugh Henry who warned, without a trace of irony, that, even if transsexual couples were allowed to marry, they would have to divorce immediately because the Government still does not allow gay weddings.See the full content of this document
