' THE world's first mobile banking service was launched 59 years ago on the Isle of Lewis by the National Bank of Scotland. Two weeks ago, Royal Bank of Scotland continued this proud tradition by launching its 14th mobile bank.

Operating in Cornwall, it is the first in the colours of RBS sister bank NatWest. It could herald many to hit the roads in the months ahead if it proves a success with villagers.
