His reference to the city's ' enthusiastic greeting' was the last straw for Franz Ferdinand. Only minutes earlier, Nedjelko Cabrinovic had thrown a bomb at the car in which the Archduke and his wife Sophie had been travelling. F.F. was in no mood for platitudes.
