The Wider View THE KENNEDYS are the nearest thing America has to a royal dynasty. Little illustrates this better than the Capitol office where Senator Edward Kennedy spent 40 years of his political life. As this picture taken just before his death last week shows, it was crammed with mementoes of a career at the highest level. At the heart is the desk handed down by his brothers: First John F, later President, then Attorney General Robert.
