THE Green party yesterday committed itself to supporting the Lisbon Treaty after a voting result that would have made an Iranian president blush.

At a specially convened meeting yesterday, the party required a two-thirds majority to pass the motion supporting the controversial treaty - after the party had refused to do so last time around.
