PREMIER LEAGUE referee Mark Clattenburg's suspension from today's FA Community Shield is due to his failure to inform the game's authorities of business problems that left him vulnerable to accusations of corruption, according to his employers and the Football Association.

Clattenburg has been taken off today's Wembley showpiece between Manchester United and Portsmouth, to be replaced by Peter Walton, after it emerged he had been served with legal papers from a former business partner claiming to be owed nearly [pounds]60,000.
