Now in her 60s, she has realised all her ambitions. Although never a big star, Annie was a regular on television dramas, from leading roles in the Bluebell, a faintly risque BBC1 Eighties series about the semi-nude dancing troupe of the Thirties, to roles in Morse, Poirot, Dr Who and 2Point4 Children.
