MICHAEL VAUGHAN admitted last night that he is considering his future as England captain after his side slumped to a series defeat against South Africa when they lost the second Test at Edgbaston by five wickets.

Vaughan, struggling for runs and under fire from former England batsman GeoffBoycott as only in the team because he is captain, looked shattered as he spoke after South Africas Graeme Smith had led his side to victory with a brilliant unbeaten 154.
