Finding a breast lump is enough to put even the calmest of women into a spin. It's only natural to think the worst, but the vast majority of lumps turn out to be nothing to worry about and it's important not to panic.
In fact, far from demanding to be seen immediately, some women put off telling their GP because they dread the outcome. But sticking your head in the sand only makes matters worse.
