Watercolour Tate Britain, London until August 21 HHHHH When I went to this exhibition of watercolours, it was already crowded with keen observers, and I suspect many of them were practitioners, as well as admirers, of such painting.
Watercolours are a medium for amateurs and great artists. As they dry quickly, they are ideally suited to open-air painters and the rapid registering of an impression. If one goes wrong, then the painter need only start again on another sheet.See the full content of this document
