HE PACED some 50 yards forward and a crowd banked eight deep straining and craning for a glimpse of 'the man' wondered what he was doing. Might he be having a senior moment? In fact, professional to a tee, he was checking the wind away from the shelter of the surrounding stands.
As he walked back, he received a round of applause, shaking his head, throwing wide his arms and shooting one of those generous grinning smiles at his reception before he had even swished a club.
