Laptop computers have liberated us in many ways but, according to Tim Hutchful of the British Chiropractic Association, the downside is that they can cause considerable damage to your neck and spine, resulting in lots of aches and pains, including headaches.

A businesswoman who uses her laptop constantly called me in some distress to ask if I could find some tips to help alleviate her neck and shoulder pain. Tim Hutchful says: 'Because the laptop keyboard and screen are integrated, you risk damaging your neck, shoulders, arms and/or back when using one, so there's potential for problems in all these areas.'
